How to Fold a Fitted Sheet

Who hasn't wondered how to do this, right?!? I learned from Martha a couple of years ago, and thought it's about time to spread the word! This is a great tutorial from the Martha site, but I did add in my own little notes. Keep in mind, it is essential when folding a fitted sheet to have a large flat surface to lay the sheet down on.

Directions via the Martha site:
1. With the sheet inside out, place one hand in each of two adjacent corners.

2. Bring your right hand to your left, and fold the corner in your right hand over the one in your left, so the corner on top is right side out. Next, reach down and pick up the corner that is adjacent to the one that was in your right hand (it will be hanging in front), and fold it over the other two; this third corner will be inside out.

3. Bring the last corner up, and fold it over the others so it is right side out.

**(Ok, so that's a bit tricky reading, right?? Here's what I like to do, if you can picture it: I fold the sheet in half, pushing one corner under the other, and stick my pointer finger up into the seam (one hand on each end). The elastic edge would now be hanging on one side of your arm, and the rest of the sheet on the other. You've made nice points with your fingers under those corners. Following?? Now bring your finger tips (left hand and right hand) together and push all those elasticized, rounded corners to one side. Does that make any more/better sense??)

4. Lay the sheet flat, and straighten it into the shape shown above.

5. Fold the two edges in, folding the edge with elastic in first, so all elastic is hidden.

6. Fold the strip into a smaller rectangle.

7. Continue folding until rectangle is the size you want.

Now go try it out! Let me know if it works for you!
